Operation Christmas
Tree started after our daughter was deployed to Iraq. The idea was
born after we decided to send a 'bit of home' during the holiday
season which consisted of one standard size Christmas tree.
Unfortunately we faced the issue of how to ship it. After
deliberating we came up with the idea of shipping two foot tall
trees to as many service members in Iraq and Afghanistan, including
our daughter. This was a major success among those that received the
trees and because of this we have decided to make Operation
Christmas Tree a yearly project until our troops are home.

Operation Happy Note
Is a volunteer effort to send musical instruments to deployed
service men and women throughout the world. Steve and Barb Baker
from Fergus Music started Operation Happy Note in March 2005 after
their son was deployed to Iraq. They sent him a guitar
and one to his friend, too. These soldiers were so
pleased to have instruments while deployed that we found a way to
get more instruments to our troops: Operation Happy Note.

The Marine Parents United Mission:
Marine Parents
United, Inc is a 501(c)3 nonprofit group (public charity) that
organizes an annual national conference for the USMC family for
the purpose of education and support.
We ask for donations in order to keep registrations to a minimum
so the conference will be affordable for as many people as
possible.
We also ask for donations/sponsorships in order to be able to
invite Wounded Warriors to join us.
We have been in existence for five years. We are a group that is
the catalyst for education, events, and
support for a weekend for all of the USMC family members.
Our board members and committee members are from all over the
United States.
Our conference has been traveling to different parts of the US so
more people will have the chance to attend. We have no paid staff
and our board and committee members all volunteer hundreds of
hours to offer this weekend as a gift to others.
